MBA (1 year) :                                                           

The 1 year MBA Program seeks to provide an advanced level academic background to the BBA graduate and is aimed at accelerating the students's professional and /or managerial skills.It gives more impetus to the development of competency in a major functional area chosen by the students.The curriculam of Premier University focuses on developing analytical and practical decision-making skills required of top and mid level executives.

Design of the Program :

The 1 year MBA curriculum consists of core, capstone and elective courses. 

  • Core courses equip the student with the basic knowledge and skills in the major business functional and analytical areas.
  • Capstone course  provides the students with opportunities to apply theories and practices for several disciplines to deal with complex business and organizational problems.
  • Elective courses allow each student to select advance courses according to his/her particular interest in a given area of concentration.


The program calls for the completion of ten courses, each of 3 credits and an internship programof 3 credits.Besides, the students will have to face a viva-voce examination of 100 points which is equivalent to 3 credit hours.Thus a total of 36 credit hours is required to complete the 1 year MBA program.

Students who have ''O'' Level and ''A'' Level degree and then completed their graduation can also apply.

Applicants who have taken tests administered by the ETS and received GMAT scores of 400 or above or GRE (General) scores of 1200 or above are not required to take the written test. They can directly apply for interview. 

Duration of the Program :

The 1 year MBA Program will extend over a period of two semesters in which a student can complete 33 credits.However,another 3-4 months may be required for completing the internship,which is a minor requirement for the MBA degree.

Internship:

The internship in an integral part of MBA degree requirement. The basic objective of internship is to provide practical exposure to the students in a working environment. Students are placed in business organizations, autonomous and government enterprises and other research bodies or development projects so that they get an opportunity for translating theoretical conception in real life situation. The internship covers 8 weeks of organizational attachment and another 3-4 weeks for finalization of report. The student must prepare and submit the internship report within the specified time and must get a passing grade ‘C’. Failure to obtain a passing grade calls for either revision or resubmission of the report or retake of the internship program as may be determined by the academic council of the university. However, retaking of internship will be allowed once only. The grade so earned on the internship will be shown in the transcript but will not be included in the computation of the CGPA.

MBA (2 years) :                                                                                         

The Master of Business Administration (MBA) is a professional graduate program for those who plan their careers as managers and executives in business, industry and other organizations. The MBA program is offered in the evening and weekends.
The MBA program may be completed in four semesters and each semester consists of 15 weeks and every student can take five courses in each semester. The working students may proceed at a slower pace and complete the program within three to four consecutive academic years.          

Design of the Program :

The MBA curriculum consists of foundation, core, integrative and elective courses. 

  • Foundation and core courses equip the student with the basic knowledge and skills in the major business functional and analytical areas.
  • Capstone course  provides the students with opportunities to apply theories and practices for several disciplines to deal with complex business and organizational problems.
  • Elective courses allow each student to select advance courses according to his/her particular interest in a given area of concentration.

The program calls for the completion of twenty courses, each of 3 credits. This a total of 60credit hours are required to complete the MBA program. Students may be expected from a specified course if, in the opinion of the authority, they have already covered the course materials in their BBA  or previous studies. A maximum of 10 courses may be expected for the students who have already completed a BBA degree from Premier University or equivalent degree from a similar institution.

Duration of the Program :

The MBA Program usually extends over a period of two years divided into four semesters in which a student can complete 60 credits.However,one can accelerate or decelerate the completion time at his/her own convenience by enrolling in summer semester and taking more or fewer course(s).

EMBA                                                                                                  

The EMBA Program seeks to provide a solid academic foundation for professional careers in management and is aimed at accelerating the students’ managerial skills. It gives more impetus to the development of competency in a major functional area chosen by the student. Premier University curriculum focuses on developing analytical and decision-making skills required of top-level executives.

Design of the Program :

E MBA curriculum consists of core, integrative and elective courses. 

  • Core courses equip the student with the basic knowledge and skills in the major business functional and analytical areas.
  • Capstone course  provides the students with opportunities to apply theories and practices for several disciplines to deal with complex business and organizational problems.
  • Elective courses allow each student to select advance courses according to his/her particular interest in a given area of concentration.


The program calls for the completion of fifteen courses, each of 3 credits. Thus a total of 45 credit hours are required to complete the EMBA program. Students may be expected from a specified course if, in the opinion of the authority, they have already covered the course materials in their BBA  or previous studies. A maximum of 05 courses may be expected for the students who have already completed a BBA degree from Premier University or equivalent degree from a similar institution.

 

Duration of the Program :

The EMBA Program usually extends over a period of one year and half years divided into three semesters in which a student can complete 45 credits.

Internship :

The basic objective of internship is to provide practical exposure to the students in a working environment. Students are placed in business organizations, autonomous and government enterprises and other research bodies or development projects so that they get an opportunity for translating theoretical conception in real life situation.The students of EMBA Program may however br allowed to complete their internship program at their own working organization.
