Graduate Program: Masters of Law (LL.M)

The LL.M program seeks to provide an advanced level academic background to the LL.B graduates and is aimed at accelerating the students professional skills.It gives more inputs to the development of competency in a major functional area chosen by the students.

Design of the Program :

The 1-year LL.M curriculum consists of 2 semesters of 36 credit hours and students may complete this program within a maximum period of 3 years from the semester of their first entry.

• Lecture courses: In each semester the students are required to go through a 45 hour class lectures in each course,each lecture will be 0f 60 minutes duration.
• Research monograph:Every student shall have to prepare a research monograph for 50 marks at the end of each semester.
• Clinical Training Program:The department will arrange a legal clinical training program at the end of second semester.Although it is a non-credit program,students arecompulsorily required to attend and participate in it.

Duration of the Program:

The 1-year LL.M program will extend over a period of two semesters in which a student shell have to complete 36 credits. However ,all students are compulsorily required to attend and participate in a non-credit clinical training program to be arranged by the department at the end of the second semester.

Eligibility:

PPUC admission is competitive.Minimum qualification for admission into LL.M program is as follows:

For admission to this program candidates should have a 4-year LL.B(Hons.) degree 0r its equivalent from any recognized university of Bangladesh or abroad .
